I forgot that I started this blog and came across it today and decided to start it up again. At least have a record for me of my days being at home. Since I last made a post on here, we moved to Colorado and moved back to Indiana. Aaron is now 8 and in the 3rd grade, Brooklyn is 2 1/2, and I am almost 34 weeks pregnant with a girl. I am due February 16, 2014. Things really have changed a lot in the past few years! My grandpa also passed away a few months ago. That was and is very hard on me. I have been trying not to stress too much over it because I know overly stressing will just harm the baby.
This pregnancy has by far been my worst one. I am not actually puking like I did with Brooklyn but I do gag at any gross smell or if I don't get enough sleep, then when I wake up, I spend like an hour just gagging. It is really annoying. I am classified as high risk, have iron deficiency anemia, and I am borderline for gestational diabetes. Also, the baby's' kidneys are swollen, so I am worried about that. I do not know what they are going to do about them. Her pee output is good, there just seems to be problems with the input. Won't know for sure until she comes and then she gets an ultrasound on her kidneys. We did have a down syndrome scare with the quad screen but found out that my dates were 2 weeks off and they repeated the test and new results came out normal.
I am going to try to breastfeed this baby. She will be our last one, so I want to at least try since I never did with the other kids. I am very nervous and scared about it. Nobody is really supportive so I am not sure how well I will do. I joined a breastfeeding support group on facebook in hopes that what support I can get from that will help.
Now I get the pleasure of getting all of my stuff and the baby's' stuff ready. I have to set the crib up and the hardest one, I get to pack the hospital bag. I think I will pack up what I can this weekend since i am almost 34 weeks and I keep having contractions on and off. I could practically go any day now, so I need to make sure that I get all of the stuff ready.
