My week

Tuesday was Aaron's first day of 1st grade at Lawrenceburg Primary. He really liked it alot and he was very good his first day. He wasn't that good his second day but wasn't horrible either. I just hope he doesn't try to attempt anything he did in Kindergarten. He got in alot of trouble in Kindergarten but did much better once he started his ADHD medicine. Aaron really likes riding the "big" bus. And he is said he loves eating lunch at school. He has made one friend so far, but he's a playground friend and not in Aaron's classroom. At least Aaron isn't being a loner and actually talking to some kids. 


It is very weird being home alone all day with just Brooklyn. I like it alot! During the day I can focus everything on her and in the evening focus on Aaron.  Why won't Brooklyn just take a nap???? She sleeps for like 15 minutes at a time and won't take a long nap!! She needs to so that I can start to clean at least some. It's hard to clean while she's crying. The only reason I'm able to write this right now is because she was being content in her swing. She just needs to let go and go to sleep!! But no, she wants to fight sleep as much as she can. 


How can you be mad at Brooklyn when all she does is grin at you and laugh right after she did something?? She is too cute! She is starting to laugh alot more now and interact with me and Matt. She always smiles for Aaron. Like right now she's talking to her giraffe and it is so cute!! 


I cannot wait for Halloween!!! It is my FAVORITE holiday! Brooklyn is going to be a cat. It is such a cute costume!!! It's black fur with pink on it and it comes with a little mouse she can hold lol. I have no idea what Aaron is going to be yet. He has yet to tell me what he wants to be. I'm sure it will be some kind of Transformer though. I'm not sure if I'm going to dress up this year or not. And I'm sure Matt is going to dress up in his freaky looking costume. It was funny though that he scared grown adults last year when we went trick-or-treating. 


I really hope that I can go to the boat races this weekend. But I'm not too sure since Saturday, it's going to be 90 out. I don't want to take Brooklyn out in the heat unless I have to. Especially with her being sick. She has her first cold and I'm sure that the heat will bother her since she isn't breathing all good since her nose is stuffed part of the time. At least she's not contagious!!! 

My past week

Last Thursday was Brooklyn's 2 month check at the doctor. She had to get her shots :(  She weighs 12lbs 10oz and is 23 inches long. The doctor said that she was perfect!!!! Which is very good! She also did awesome with her shots. She screamed as she was getting them but after she stopped crying. They did make her sick and she didn't feel good for a couple days but she is all good now. I cannot believe how big Brooklyn is getting. Time sure does fly by very quickly!

My friend, Sam let us use her bumbo seat, and Brooklyn loves it! She just sits in it and looks around. Brooklyn also laughed for the first time on the 9th at 11:47pm. It was so cute!

Aaron starts the 1st grade on Tuesday. His teacher is going to be Mrs. Brayton. I hope he does good in school and does not have any trouble like he did in Kindergarten. He will be going to a new school and will be going full day. I just hope he can handle it since he was only in half day kindergarten. But I'm sure that he will do just fine. I know he is excited at least about eating lunch at school.


My financial aid problem with Ivy Tech got fixed so I will for sure be going to college starting in January!!! I so can't wait!!! I've been trying to go back for the past 5 years but something has always stopped me from being able to go! I'm going for Early Childhood Education and I get to take classes online so that will be so much easier with Brooklyn and Aaron in school. I was originally going to go for Nursing or Medical Assisting, but with all the speech problems and developmental delays that Aaron has had, I decided that I would like to help kids with the same problem. His preschool teacher was the greatest and I would like to maybe do that one day! I know i want to help young children learn.

I enrolled Aaron in school yesterday. He is officially a student at Lawrenceburg Primary Elementary School. We will find out on Monday who his teacher is and the following Monday we get to go meet his teacher and take his school supplies into school. He is very excited about starting 1st grade. I just hope that he does good and behaves!! 


I have all 3 kids today while Matt is working and omg, the 2 older ones need to be put in a corner for like a year!!! They will not listen to me for anything!!!


Brooklyn has to get her 2 month shots tomorrow and I am so dreading it so bad!!! She's probably going to do her dying cat scream!! I hope not, but I'm sure that she will.

2 Months Old Today

Since it is August 1st, that means that Brooklyn is 2 months old!!!! I can't believe how fast these past 2 months have gone by. Brooklyn is growing so much and doing so many new things! She is doing what I call practicing sit ups lol.  She raises her head off of the ground while she's on her back. It is too funny!! She is starting to "talk" more. She smiles so much now. No laughing yet but I'm sure she will do that very soon!!! She has to go for her first round of shots on Thursday and I am dreading it so much!! I'm going to hate having to hold her down while they do harm to her. :( 

What I woke up to

This is the beautiful smiling face that I woke up to  this morning. Brooklyn was all smiles and making cute gooing sounds. I cannot believe how big she has gotten in just 8 weeks. Aaron was a very helpful big brother today. He picked out the yellow dress that she is wearing. He likes to help alot but sometimes tries to help way too much! I don't think he understands that she is fragile and you have to be very easy with her. He always tried to get in her face. I know he is just trying to love on her but he can't be getting all up in her face like he does. Then when I tell him to back off some, he gets all upset and cries and runs off to his room. Ugh, it is so frustrating sometimes with him. 

My day so far and some thoughts......

Today is a good day so far. Brooklyn is 8 weeks old today. I can't believe how fast time flies by. She will be 2 months old on Monday. I just can't believe it!! Aaron is going to be starting the first grade in 3 weeks. I'm glad that I got all of his school supplies early. We are all ready for him to start school and just have to go register him at his new school next week.

So i have come to the conclusion that being a stay at home mom is so much harder when you have more than one child to care for!! Trying to keep up on the housework, taking care of a newborn, taking care of a 6 year old, attempting to take care of yourself, and also taking care of Matt. Housework has kind of been put on the back burner for the time being and I need to get back on it. I will be able to get alot more done once Aaron starts school and then during the day I'll only have Brooklyn to look after. It is just so hard trying to keep up on housework and stuff when you're so exhausted from taking care of a newborn plus lack of alot of sleep.

Brooklyn rolled last night from her belly to her back for the first time!!! It was so awesome! She even smiled the biggest smile after she did it!!

I got Aaron a Kindergarten workbook so that he can re-learn some of what he lost over the summer. He is excited about the book and actually asks if he can do his "homework" book. lol.
